About Me.

I am a retired library director and teacher who has loved writing all my life. My life history includes a solid marriage and raising three children, church service in several denominations and extensive Bible study, piano performance and accompaniment, and varied experiences as a ranch wife. I am the author of Walking at the Speed of Light, being published by Morgan James Publishing with a release date of September 11, 2018. I am also the author of The National Park Service, the Grand Tetons, and I: The Worth and Wonder of Wilderness (thesis) and composer of Look to the Mountains: A Lewis & Clark Cantata; a former newspaper columnist and radio show host; a former living history presenter of Tea with Dolley Madison; a frequent public speaker; and a public advocate for the LifeCenter Northwest organ donation center. In addition to writing, I enjoy frolicking with grandchildren, sharing music with seniors in assisted living and nursing homes, hiking, photography and travel.
